Social Distancing

The Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic is in full effect as most of us are experiencing media overload while also being inundated with information and constant updates on how to slow the spread of this virus.  Most of us are preparing ourselves for the uncharted territory known as “social distancing”.  In an effort to stay positive during this pandemic I will keep myself distracted with the things that I enjoy.  Smooth jazz, a good book (or two or three), wine … lots of wine, exercise (thank God for at home equipment), and of course Netflix.

Since I will be working from home for the next couple of weeks, I am able to get caught up on a few things that I’ve been putting off. I am not going to lie … this whole social distancing is going to take some getting use to.  I am however looking forward to getting to spend some quality time with my lovely family.  I will have to channel my inner creativity to keep us all from getting cabin fever over the next couple of weeks.

Before this pandemic hit I did have the opportunity to visit the Dark Room and listen to some good music.  Be.Be. & the NeoSouls were performing and they were great as usual!  As I may have mentioned a time or two before… I absolutely love listening to live music.  I really enjoy this band because Be.Be tends to bring a little jazz and a little funk to traditional R&B.  You are sure to snap your fingers and bob your head to the music as you find yourself singing along.  This band has great energy and I truly enjoy their vibe.  Since it might be a minute before I get the chance to enjoy some live music, let me share this picture of my most recent visit to the Dark Room here in St. Louis.

Everyone stay safe and make the best of our new normal.
